Library Reopening Information: Home

Library building hours

Beginning June 8, the Library will reopen to the Concordia community (students, faculty, and staff). The Library will remain closed to the general public.

The Library will be open to the campus community the following hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: CLOSED

The Library will follow all University policies and procedures related to use of spaces, social distancing, and cleaning. Additional information is available at

Library collections

The vast majority of the Library's collections are accessible online from any location and will continue to be accessible online.

The Library’s physical collections will not be directly accessible. Individuals who would like to user materials from the Library’s physical collections should follow these procedures:

Requesting materials

Users have the following options to request Library materials:

  • Place a request in OneSearch
  • Email with the request
  • Ask at the Info Desk

Users can expect requested materials to be available one business day after the request is placed. Contact with questions.

Due dates

Due dates for CSP Library materials and CLIC Library materials checked out by all users will be extended. Due dates for materials checked out from other libraries will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

In general, the Library will provide maximum flexibility on due dates and no one will be fined for materials that cannot be returned.

Returning materials

Users have the following options for materials they wish to return to the Library:

  • Return the materials to another library (public or academic) that is accepting returns
  • Return the materials in the Library drop box immediately inside the Library’s front doors during the hours the Library is open (8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday).
  • Hold onto the items until the campus/Library is more generally accessible. No one will be fined for materials that are not returned.
  • By mailing them to the following address. The Library will not pay for postage.

Access to partner library collections

The Library will process requests for electronic materials placed through OneSearch.

At this time, we are not able to process requests for physical materials from other libraries.

Study rooms

Group and individual study rooms are not available for use.

Research Assistance

There is no change to the times online chat and email Research Assistance are available.

Online chat and email Research Assistance will be available the following hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Friday: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Saturday: 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Sunday: 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Walk-up research assistance is not available.
