Choosing Where to Search

The Library offers different search options depending on what kind of sources you're looking for. Follow the flow chart below to find the right place to start your search.

OneSearch

OneSearch

OneSearch is a tool that you can use to search a wide variety of materials from across all disciplines represented in our collection. It is a great place to get a general picture of a topic in books, ebooks, articles, and videos.

Finding Journal Articles in a Database

If looking for a scholarly, peer-reviewed journal article, look in one of the library's databases located on the CSP A to Z Databases List

You can filter the databases by subject, resource type, vendor, and letter of the alphabet.

Or if you are looking for a particular journal, use the Journal Search feature of the OneSearch:

(Note: search for the name of a journal, not your topic.)

Get It Button

You will see the "Get It" button in many of the library's databases. It's a powerful tool that helps connect the library's databases. If one database only has an article abstract, use the "Get It' button to see if we have it available in a different database.
