The Library building will open its normal Spring semester hours beginning Monday, January 11, 2020. Visit library.csp.edu/hours for specific building and service hours.
Per University policy, access to campus buildings is currently limited to Concordia students, faculty, and staff as well as visitors on prearranged tours with the Admissions office. In addition, active LCMS pastors and alums of the University are welcome to use the Library space and collections.
Everyone using the Library space is expected to follow all University policies, which are available at csp.edu/coronavirus.
Per University policy and the Governor’s order, masks are required at all times and in all spaces in the Library building. This applies to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. The University asks that all individuals provide their own mask.
We have arranged the furniture in the Library to promote social distancing. We ask everyone to refrain from moving or rearranging the furniture and to limit group gatherings.
Food and drink are allowed in the Library. We ask everyone to remove their mask only for the time it takes to drink a beverage or eat food. Please do not share food.
The Library's Info Desk is open all hours the Library building is open. The Info Desk can provide guidance on Library services and policies.
Research Assistance is available in a virtual format. See library.csp.edu/services/help for additional information and research assistance hours.
Tutoring and writing support is available in a virtual format. Students can schedule a one-on-one peer tutoring session via Accudemia or access 24/7 tutoring through Brainfuse.
The IT Help Desk is available for walk-up assistance during its regular hours. Additional information is available at concordia.csp.edu/helpdesk.
LMS (Blackboard) support for faculty is available in a virtual format. Additional information is available at sites.google.com/csp.edu/employeeblackboard.
Based on industry guidance all Library materials will be quarantined for 72 hours between each use to limit the potential for virus transmission via these items.
Students, faculty, and staff do not have direct access to the Library's physical collections.
We ask everyone to request materials ahead of time via the Library's website. Requested materials will be delivered in scanned electronic form of via the Library's "no contact" hold shelf.
Many of our partner libraries have resumed lending materials to other libraries. We encourage you to request materials with enough lead time to allow for enhanced handling procedures and quarantine periods.
Individual study rooms will be available beginning on September 8, 2020. These rooms should be booked in advance at csp.libcal.com/reserve.
Group study rooms are not available.
The Library has 7 computers available for use by CSP students, faculty, and staff. These computers are cleaned 3 times a day.
We strongly encourage people to use their own computer whenever possible. Contact the IT Help Desk for assistance connecting to CSP's wireless network or with printing from personal devices.
The public printers have been relocated to the southeast corner of the main floor of the Library. We ask everyone to maintain social distancing and follow all queueing signage while using the printers.
