Alumni and members of the community are welcome to use some of the Library's spaces and services as detailed below.

We encourage you to take advantage of the resources available through your local public library.

Visitors to the Library are expected to follow all Library and University policies.

Questions can be addressed to the Director of Library and Academic Support Services.

Using the Library Building

The primary mission of the Library is to support the academic needs of Concordia's students, faculty, and staff. Ensuring that the Library is a safe and effective space for Concordia's students, faculty, and staff is our first priority. While we generally welcome members of the public to use the Library space, some spaces and services are only available to members of the Concordia community and its affiliated organizations.

Technology & Internet Access

Internet access is not available to alumni and members of the community.

Using the Library's Collections

Physical collections

Alumni and LCMS pastors can check out materials from the Library's physical collections. Alumni and LCMS pastors will need to be issued a courtesy borrower library account before they can check out materials. Inquire at the Library's Information Desk.

Alumni and LCMS pastors cannot request materials from other libraries. Please utilize your public library to request materials from another library.

Members of the community cannot check out materials from the Library's physical collections.

Electronic collections

Due to licensing limitations, alumni and community members cannot access the Library's electronic resources. Please utilize your public library to access electronic collections.
