Library Resources for International Students

Main Level Map

A. Information Desk: This is where you can check out books using your student ID card, and return the books when you're done. The student employees here can also unlock meeting room doors for you. Any books you request will be kept for you behind this desk for 2 weeks. This desk also has books that are held for specific classes.

B. Research Desk: This is where the librarians sit. You can ask us for help with finding materials, doing research, and citing sources.

C. Technology Help Desk: The student employees at this desk are there to help you if our websites or computers are not working the way they should.

D. Writing & Tutoring Center: This is where you can go if you need one-on-one tutoring or help with your writing. For long questions, you may need to make an appointment.

I. Audiovisual Materials: This collection has DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, and vinyl records. All of these items can be checked out.

J. Juvenile/Curriculum: These books are sorted differently than the rest of the collection. Ask a librarian if you need help finding something.

K. Music Scores, German Genealogy Society Collection, & Oversized Materials: The very back shelf facing the wall is for books that are too big to fit on the regular shelves. The front shelf facing the curriculum books is for music scores. The rest is a collection of books that belongs to the German Genealogy Society. These cannot be checked out, but you are welcome to look at them.
