Meet with a Tutor

Peer Tutoring

Concordia offers peer tutoring during Fall and Spring semesters. All peer tutors are current CSP students who have taken the course(s) they tutor or have completed equivalent coursework at Concordia or other universities.

Subject tutors provide 1:1 and small group tutoring help for students for specific undergraduate courses in Math, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Greek, and other subject areas. Appointments are available in-person or virtually over Zoom for students on the St. Paul campus and virtually for the Colorado and Portland campuses.

Looking for a writing tutor?  Check out the Writing Center website.

Appointment Availability

Tutoring is available free of charge to Concordia students, and appointments can be scheduled 7 days/week, anytime between 8am and 11pm depending on your tutor’s availability.

Tutoring begins the second full week of classes at the start of Fall and Spring semesters.

All tutoring appointments are made via the Accudemia scheduling platform. After clicking to schedule a peer tutoring appointment, you will be prompted to sign-in using your CSP email and password. Doing so will take you right to the Accudemia homepage where you can schedule your appointment with a tutor.

Tips on Preparing for the First Meeting

  • Review the material beforehand.
  • Come with questions.
  • Bring notes, slides, instructions, and anything else your tutor might need to see to help you.
  • Arrive 5 minutes before your session starts.
  • If your session is in-person, be sure to look for your tutor. They will be standing or sitting near or behind the Tutoring and Writing Desk in the south side of the library.
  • If your session is virtual, double check your Zoom is up to date and that your mic and camera are working before your session.
  • Be ready to participate. Tutoring works best when you and your tutor work together.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Scheduling an appointment is easy! Once you’re in Accudemia click on “+Schedule Appointment” next to the Upcoming Appointments box on the Accudemia homepage. You’ll then be prompted to select a service (face-to-face or virtual), the subject area you need help in, and the date and time you’d like to meet with a tutor.

Appointments can only be made 24 hours or more in advance. Students are limited to 6 hours of subject tutoring or up to 3 sessions per week.

The following is a list of courses that we currently offer peer tutoring services for. Courses will be added to the list throughout the first month of the semester as tutors are hired.
