Title. Director, performances by 1- lead actors, Production Company, Release date.

Works Cited Page Example:

Apocalypse Now. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, performances by Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando, Omni Zoetrope, 1979.

In-text Citation Format:

MLA format gives you the choice of using the film title or the director for the in-text citation. Choose which one makes more sense for what you are saying about the movie. If you are talking about the story, use the title. If you are talking about choices the director made, it would be more appropriate to cite the director.
