OneSearch Guide

Learn how to effectively search and use the library's OneSearch tool.

AI Research Assistant

The OneSearch AI Research Assistant is a new AI-powered tool you can use to find sources for your research question.

The Research Assistant lets you search your research question in natural language, then delivers sources that can help you answer that question and provides you with a summary of what those sources say.

Accessing the AI Research Assistant

Research Assistant Button

If you're already in OneSearch, you can click the "Research Assistant" button at the top of the page.

Using the AI Research Assistant

Input your full research question into the search bar. The AI Research Assistant understands natural language, so you do not need to break your question down into keywords.

Click the filter button on the left side of the search box to select available filters for source type and publication date. Click Search to see results.

The AI Research Assistant will find five sources that are relevant to answering your research question. You can also click the "View more results from your library search" button to see a full list of relevant sources from the library.

The AI Research Assistant will also give a summary of the five sources that can provide a good overview of your topic.
