There are many different types of content, evaluation, and engagement tools available within My Courses. Four of the most used are Assignments, Quizzes, Discussions, and Grades.
Assignments can be created with a number of different availability and submission options. Assignments can be created for individuals or groups.
In My Courses any quizzes, tests, or exams will be created and managed using the "Quizzes" tool. You can find quizzes in the Content tab, or in the Course Admin tab under "Assessment."
Discussions are found in your course under the Content or Course Admin tabs.
The Discussions tool is a collaboration area where you can have students post, read and reply to threads on different topics, share thoughts about course materials, ask questions, share files, or work with their classmates on assignments and homework.
Instructors can set up forums and topics for students to ask questions, discuss course content and assignments, and work together in assigned groups and sections.
